March's
Question of the Month

Choose the best answer.

March - ahhh, the spring flowers are poking their way up through the thawing ground.

Speaking of thawing ground, this is the perfect time for an underground electrical line to go bad. The reason for this is the freezing and thawing ground. It pushes and moves underground wires, rocks, roots and even cocreate.

If you discover you have an underground electrical problem and you are able to locate it, what method would be best to use in fixing the problem.

A) Make good clean electrical connections, wrap the connection in plastic wrap (baggies work well), then tape with electrical tape at least 5 layers thick.

B) Make good clean electrical connections, fill a baggie with silicon caulk and wrap the baggie around the connections, then tape with electrical tape at least 5 layers thick.

C) Make good clean electrical connections. Using a good quality electrical tape, wrap the tape 10 layers thick in a tight spiral. Back fill with clean fill only.

D) Make good clean electrical connections, use underground heat shrink tubing that was purchased at the electrical supply house.

E) All of the above.
